Preliminary Exercise 9 - Camera Composition Storyboard Poster

     The objective of the assignment was for each student, in a group of four, to study two compositional techniques and come back next class and teach it to the members of our groups. A storyboard is a graphic organizer that consists of illustrations or images displayed in sequence. This is for the purpose of pre-visualizing a motion picture, animation, motion graphic or interactive media sequence. To complete this task my teammates and I had to come up with our own story for each frame. Then, with our teacher's permission we got a pass to go outside and make our storyboard come to life by taking pictures of each other.

Roland Barthes' Theory of Semiotics       Ronald Barthes was a French literary theorist, essayist, philosopher, citric, and semiotician. His ideas explored a diverse range of fields, and he influenced the development of many schools of theory, including structuralism, social theory and semiotics.
