Final Product - SNAPPED

Image
This is the final product of my teammates and I's two-minute film opening. Each of us had our very own role in the production of the movie. I did the editing and directing of the film. My other teammate Natalia filmed everything. Also, Kristina and I edited the first draft of our film. And I added the final touches to it by fixing some of the scenes and adding the production company logo. Lastly, Natalia did the credits for the film and added the title.

First Draft - SNAPPED

This is the first draft of my teammates and I's final draft. This took three days to make. My teammates and I worked digitately to complete it. However, we want to make some changes to the ending.  The reason for this is because we felt as if our storyline was not going to fit within the two-minute limit and we did not want our film to seem rushed by trying to fit everything in. My teammates and I have plans to edit the film some next week. During this process, we will be fixing the ending, adding the production company logo, adding the title, and adding the credits.

Postproduction

Editing:       While editing this movie I choose to use a somber type of music to create a sad atmosphere. However, as tension built up in the movie, when Emma asked to use the restroom, I did a voiceover to show the complete fear that Emma had running through her body when she realized that there was blood on her hand. Right after that I had the gun shot noises and screams ring off in the background to startle my audience to create suspense. Then, I cut to Emma banging on the classroom door as the shots continued to go off. At the ended I chose to play 911 calls from the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting to create more suspense and drama and to leave my audience on the edge of their seat.

Production - Filming

Filming Process for SNAPPED:       Filming our two-minute film opening took over three days to complete. Since I played as Emma Jones, I had to carry my costume with me for all three days. Below are some pictures from my teammates and I while we filmed our movie. The first picture is from a video of Natalia taking a wide shot of the classroom, and the second picture is of Natalia getting a close up shot of one of the actors in the film.
